Avalon Brimat Nemec holds a master's degree in music and human learning from the University of Texas at Austin and a bachelor's degree in music education from Temple University. She was the general music and choir teacher at Folk Arts-Cultural Treasures Charter School in 2014-15 and 2016-19. She currently teaches general music in Austin, Texas. Her career interests include Orff-Schulwerk and folk arts education.
