The Arts Education Partnership (AEP) helps to ensure the visibility of arts education in the U.S. by encouraging and sponsoring original research, summarizing and analyzing its findings and the policies affecting the arts in education. The Partnership is regarded as the premier impartial, nonpartisan source of accurate and reliable information and knowledge about arts learning-related topics.
As such, AEP offers technical assistance to organizations and educational agencies that wish to strengthen their evaluation and research efforts. AEP provides consultation in a range of evaluation activities: the design of research protocols and evaluation plans, development of assessment instruments, collection and analysis of data, and the design and production of understandable and useful reports. AEP subscribes to the Guiding Principles for Evaluators of the American Evaluation Association.
AEP has assisted philanthropic organizations such as The Wallace Foundation and The Ford Foundation with the management of their arts learning initiatives, working directly with urban school districts and their community-based partners to improve arts learning opportunities and educational outcomes.
