October 2-3, 2009 Cambridge, MA **The artwork above is by 14-year-old Samantha Bucay-Souza, the winner of AEP's Cover Art Contest. Samantha's artwork will be featured on the cover of the Forum program.** Welcome Many thanks to everyone who attended the AEP Fall 2009 National Forum in Cambridge, MA. With your help, we were able to make this one of our largest and most successful Forums ever. Fittingly, on the 10th anniversary of our seminal Champions of Change publication, the conversations at the Forum built around a theme, Charting a Course for the Arts and 21st Century Learning, that once again puts the arts at the forefront where questions of student access to success are concerned, and with the potential for important links to real education reform. In our plenaries, small group sessions, lunchtime roundtables, and even informal networking, we were able to continue the AEP tradition of continuing the important conversations and raising the new questions that keep our field ever-evolving. Rather than publish a traditional Forum report on this gathering, we are instead gathering materials, documents, and some reflections as a living document on this web page as resource both for those who attended and those not able to be with us. We hope you’ll come back to this page frequently to browse around and maybe even learn something new about a session you weren’t able to attend. Also, if you have material from or related to the Forum that would be appropriate for us to post here, please don’t hesitate to be in touch with an email to aep@ccsso.org. Thanks for stopping by!
